There are 2 big ski zones in
Furano ski resort, which are "Kitanomine
Zone" & "Furano Zone", (Furano Ski Resort)
connecting at the middle of each mountain. Furano
ski season usually starts late November,and
finishes around early May. The best powder ski
period would be from January to March. You can
experience the amazing powder snow world here in
Furano! If you would like backcountry skiing, Mt.
"Asahidake", "Kamui", "Kurodake",
& "Tokachidake" are just within
around an hour away by car from Furano.
Also, "Tomamu Ski Resort" is
one and half hours away. There are some ski tour
companies in Furano, that take you to those
powder mountains around Furano. Enjoy powder snow
